Heat Stress – The Impact of Various PPE and a Review of Prevention Practices
A review of the impact on heat stress caused by wearing various types of personal protective clothing, including FRC, light weight disposables, and chemical suits. Evaporation rates for breathable fabrics will be covered along with heat stress management. Work/rest recommendations and the impact of cooling equipment, including ice vests will also be reviewed.
