This month, a unique, special event opportunity will substitute for the regular GHIHC meeting that usually occurs on the third Thursday of the month. This program, sponsored by the Texas Children's Hospital Safety Department provides a rare opportunity to attend an exceptional conference event. This two-day event, which can be attended in whole or in part, will be held at the Trevisio Restaurant and Conference Center on
Tuesday, April 3rd and Wednesday, April 4th. The event is free to the sponsoring organization's members, but there will be a
$35 fee per day for GHIHC members. This fee includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and one ABIH CM point per day.
This is a great deal! Expect to pay about $4 per day for parking.
The agenda includes a variety of timely and interesting topics including:
- Threat and Error Management-One Airline's Approach to Safety
- Risk Management 101
- Chemotherapy Exposure Assessments
- Radiation Safety
- New Orleans' Children's Hospital after Katrina
- Regional Pediatric Hospital Coalitions
You can view the full agenda and all participants, including GHIHC members, can register at the following link:

On behalf of the event's sponsors, ICU will be processing payments in advance by telephone or at the event location.
Credit cards, checks or cash will be accepted. If you plan to attend one day or both days,
please register as soon as possible so that we can get a head count to the caterer.
I look forward to seeing you there!
